Dogs are our best friend

They are lovable and our protectors. She is a boxer-American bulldog mix that was the runt of the litter, blind in one eye.  Full grown, at 80 lbs, she is only 1/2 the size of her litter mates. When she was a pup, we found a plastic play gun in the front yard; a child had tossed down, because it was broken. Well, it was used to train her, to dislike guns.  It worked. I had gone to the store one day, and took her with me in the car. I was coming out of the store, when this pickup truck pulled up, next to me on the passenger side. They wanted to buy her they said. My thought was they thought she would be a good fighter, because of her size. I told them she wasn’t for sale. They got out of the truck, started walking over to my car door. As I started to get into my car, the one man put his hand back, on the side of his shirt, revealing a handgun in the waist of his pants. All hell broke loose with the dog, she wanted a piece of him, and was showing no signs of giving up, trying to get out of the car, till both of them hid on the other side of the car next to me. I’m thinking of getting her some really tough dog clothes, something that is close to being nearly indestructible. I wonder if Batman has a spare cape.
