A Weekend with My Friends from Church
Most weekends seem to go by pretty quickly. It seems like the weekend is just getting started and then it’s already Sunday night. Sometimes I think this is a function of staying shut in at home. Well, this weekend I was able to make the time last a little longer. On Saturday my wife and I went to the church building to set up for a small ladies’ function. (The function itself was small, not the ladies.) Since my wife was facilitating the function I left her there and came back later to help clean up. A few of the women were hanging around afterwards and I was able to chat with them as I helped clean. On Sunday, after church service, a small group of us went out to eat. Since the weather has been so cooperative lately we got our food and ate out on the sidewalk. It wasn’t quite an Italian sidewalk cafe but the food was good and we sat and talked for quite some time. My weekend lasted a lot longer and was much more enjoyable since I got to see so many good friends.
