The best thing about 2010 for me was the opportunity to study abroad in Ireland thanks to a scholarship I received. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget. It definitely helped me to become a more well-rounded individual, and I think I learned things and experienced things that will influence the adult I am becoming. My least favorite thing of 2010 was having to see my father go through an invasive surgery to treat a hiatal hernia he was suffering from. It was difficult for a number of reasons, one being that I knew the pain he was in. More importantly, and more painful, was watching how much he did not take care of himself post-op. He is an alcoholic who chose alcohol over his own health.

I would give my money to St. Jude’s Hospital for cancer research for children. There is nothing sadder to me than a helpless child in jeopardy of having their unlived life taken prematurely. I also love St. Jude’s because they offer any child held regardless of money or insurance, which is the way it should be in cases like that. No child should have to die of cancer because of lack of insurance or money. Despite the fact that it is a larger charity that already gets a great deal of funding, is it a charity that I can really respect because of what they stand for.

I everything about my car. One of the reasons it is so important to me is because it was my graduation present to myself after I finished college. It holds more sentimental value than anything else. While I personally still prefer an SUV, my Corolla is perfect for me right now. I am young and single, and I really have no use for anything too large right now. It is in great shape and it is very reliable. The absolute best thing about it is probably the gas mileage. I spend less than $100 per month on gas.

They are the best animals in the world. One is a German Sheppard and the other is a Golden Labrador. They are best friends and never go anywhere without the other. Unfortunately, they both shed their fur all year long. Sometimes it is alot worse than others. When I take them in my car, I have to use car seat covers. If I don’t, I wouldn’t ever be able to get the fur out of my seats. My car is relatively new, so I like to keep it looking as fresh as possible. The replacement car seat covers help alot because I can just take them out and wash them. I love my dogs and would never think of leaving them at home all the time. The car seat covers really saved me!
